Specialising in designing and conducting efficacy studies in order to generate data to substantiate your products claims, Sensory and Imaging has the experience to create specific protocols and analysis methods tailored to generate data specific to the claims you wish to assess.
By combining both sensory evaluation and image analysis methods, whatever effect you are wanting to evaluate, we would be able to design a protocol to deliver the results you need.
Half Head Studies
Probably the most common in-house study, and as such, highly recognised in the hair care industry. Whether you wish to test a shampoo, conditioner or styling aid against a placebo, a leading market competitor or another development sample, half head testing can give you the overall product assesment required to get your product to market.
Sensory and Imaging can offer immediate pre and post comparison or can offer longer studies. We have panelists able to return the following day as part of their post application assesment, an essential addition that can back up 24hr claims data.
Take Home Studies
Sometimes a salon approach is not necesarily the best way to move your product forward. Pure potential consumer opinion following use of the products as part of a normal routine can be used to give insight into the overall efficacy of a product when variables are variable and standards are not standardised.
In this case, Sensory and Imaging can offer take-home studies to meet your requirements. One-off applications with pre and post subjective assesment to long term studies with subjective assesment at pre-determined time intervals.
Blind and Double Blind Studies
Subject to neccesary procedural requirements being met, Sensory and Imaging offer both blind and double blind studies.
Imaging
As a joint imaging company, we can offer images pre and post treatment for visual marketing effect, your internal analysis or expert analysis by one of your image analysis profesionals. We offer the option of viewing the images prior to deciding whether analysis is the way forward.
